Великобритания обяжет иностранные компании раскрыть конечных владельцев

На открывающемся в четверг в Лондоне Антикоррупционном саммите британский премьер-министр Дэвид Кэмерон объявляет о внесении в законодательство поправок, подразумевающих уголовную ответственность для руководителей компаний и финансовых институтов, сотрудники которых отмывают деньги или уклоняются от уплаты налогов. Об этом пишет газета The Times. По данным издания, после радикальной реформы законодательства в области корпоративной ответственности банкам и международным компаниям будет грозить уголовное преследование, если их сотрудники присваивают или отмывают деньги, а также укрываются от уплаты налогов. После изменения действующих законов правительственным агентствам, в том числе Службе по борьбе с крупными финансовыми махинациями, будет предоставлено право преследовать крупный бизнес по делам о коррупции и экономических преступлениях так же, как это происходит в США, - поясняет автор статьи. - По новым законам корпорациям будут грозить многомиллионные штрафы, если следствию удастся доказать, что руководители не предприняли должных мер для предупреждения злоупотреблений со стороны работников Ранее, как передает РБК, в заявлении, распространенном офисом премьер-министра страны Дэвида Кэмерона, сообщалось, что власти Великобритании обяжут иностранные компании, владеющие имуществом на территории страны, раскрыть конечных владельцев. Данное требование будет распространяться и на заморские территории Великобритании с крупными финансовыми центрами. В первую очередь это карибские Британские Виргинские, Каймановы и Бермудские острова, считающиеся популярными мировыми офшорами. Офшорами также считаются британские "коронные владения" в Европе - остров Мэн и нормандские острова Джерси и Гернси в Ла-Манше. Сорок юрисдикций, включая заморские территории и коронные владения, где находятся крупные финансовые центры, подписали прорывную международную договоренность об автоматическом обмене их реестрами владельцев активов, получающих прибыль, с другими странами, - говорится в документе. В Соединенном Королевстве будет также создан первый публичный реестр бенефициаров собственности. Реестр заработает в июне, она станет первой страной G20, которая пойдет на такой шаг. Франция, Нидерланды, Нигерия и Афганистан последуют примеру Великобритании и также создадут собственные реестры. Австралия, Новая Зеландия, Иордания, Индонезия, Ирландия и Грузия договорились предпринять первые шаги в направлении создания аналогичных механизмов. Позднее в Великобритании будет создан первый в мире Международный антикоррупционный координационный центр, размещенный в Лондоне. Сотрудничать в нем с Британией будут США, Канада, Австралия, Новая Зеландия, Швейцария и Интерпол.
