Gigantul francez Orange, interesat de achiziţii pe piaţa telefoniei fixe din Republica Moldova. Una din ţinte ar putea fi Moldtelecom
Vedem mai puţine oportunităţi de achiziţii comparativ cu luna martie, dar rămânem atenţi cu privire la consolidarea în ţările europene unde suntem deja prezenţi pe segmentul de telefonie mobilă dar nu şi pe cel de telefonie fixă, a spus Gervais Pellissier.La rândul său, directorul general de la Orange, Stephane Richard, a menţionat România, Belgia şi "într-o mai mică măsură Spania“ drept ţările unde compania ar putea cumpăra active de telefonie fixă care să completeze operaţiunile mobile. Orange generează jumătate din veniturile sale în Franţa iar restul în Spania, Polonia, Africa şi Orientul Mijlociu. În primul trimestru al acestui an, vânzările Orange au scăzut cu 4,6% până la 9,8 miliarde de euro în timp ce profitul operaţional a scăzut cu 3,4% până la 3,02 miliarde de euro. Pe piaţa din Republica Moldova, veniturile Orange au scăzut în primul trimestru din 2014, cu 5,7% până la 33 de milioane de euro, în timp ce numărul abonaţilor a ajuns la aproape 2,08 milioane, mai mulţi cu 3% faţă de intervalul similar din anul anterior. Cea mai mare companie de telefonie fixă din Republica Moldova este Moldtelecom, care aparţine statului. Privatizarea acesteia a fost amânată la începutul acestui an.
