Moldova a cumpărat în 2013 peste 1,031 mlrd. m3 de gaze ruseşti, iar a prestat consumatorilor 945,3 mil. Astfel, circa 86 mil. m3 au constituit pierderile tehnice şi comerciale. Potrivit agenţiei „INFOTAG”, cu referinţă la datele Agenţiei Naţionale pentru Reglementare în Energetică (ANRE), procurările de gaze s-au redus cu 5,9%, iar consumul – cu 4,5%. Acest fapt se explică prin tarifele mari, care pentru mulţi consumatori au devenit „împovărătoare”.
Ministrul finantelor Antol Arapu explică ce se întâmplă atunci când leul moldovenesc se depreciază, care sunt evoluţiile pe fondul cărora moneda europeană şi dolarul au crescut şi continuă să crească, dar şi despre efectele deprecierii leului asupra economiei ţării.
