Biroul Naţional de Statistică informează, că în ianuarie-iunie 2017 structurile de primire turistică colective cu funcţiuni de cazare (hoteluri, moteluri, pensiuni, sate şi vile turistice) au fost frecventate de 134,3 mii de turişti, din care 64,7 mii de turişti străini (48,2% din total ) și 69,6 mii de turiști moldoveni (51,8%). Comparativ cu ianuarie-iunie 2016, s-a majorat numărul de turişti cazaţi la structurile de primire turistică colective (+7,5%) pe seama creşterii acestuia la structuri de odihnă (+20,8%), hoteluri și moteluri (+14,2%), cămine pentru vizitatori (+8,6%), tabere de vacanță pentru elevi (+6,3%), structuri de întremare (+1,2%). Totodată, s-a redus numărul de turiști cazați la pensiuni turistice şi agroturistice (-44,6%).
