Potrivit portalului localbudgets.viitorul.org, orașele Vadul lui Vodă, Vatra, Șoldănești, Briceni și Ștefan Vodă întrec marile orașe din țară, raportând veniturile bugetelor locale la numărul de locuitori. Bunăstarea unui oraş depinde în cea mai mare măsură de dezvoltarea acestuia din punct de vedere economic. Potrivit portalului localbudgest.viitorul.org, care face referire la datele Ministerului Finanțelor, autoritățile locale au acumulat venituri de 9207 lei per capita și au cheltuit 8341 de lei pentru fiecare locuitor.
