Fondul Monetar Internaţional (FMI) a anunţat luni că a adăugat Danemarca, Finlanda, Norvegia şi Polonia pe lista ţărilor ale căror sectoare financiare trebuie să fie supuse unor controale regulate, în încercarea de a evita repetarea unei crize financiare globale. În 2010, FMI a identificat 25 de state pentru care evaluarea sectoarelor lor financiare va fi obligatorie. Aceste evaluări au avut un caracter facultativ înaintea crizei financiare din 2008-2009, care a demonstrat cât de rapid problemele financiare dintr-o ţară se pot extinde şi în statele vecine precum şi în restul lumii.
Republica Moldova a fost plasată pe locul 110 în clasamentul celor mai libere economii din lume, elaborat de Fundaţia americană Heritage şi revista The Wall Street Journal, relatează MOLDPRES cu referire la raportul „2014 Index of Economic Freedom” (Indicele Libertăţii Economice), făcut public astăzi. Economia moldovenească este considerată drept „parţial liberă” şi înregistrează un scor de 57,3 puncte dintr-un total de 100, cu 1,8 puncte mai multe decît anul trecut. Republica Moldova a urcat cinci poziţii în clasamentul mondial al libertăţii economice, în care au fost incluse 177 de ţări.
