În luna iulie curent, moldovenii de peste hotare au transferat acasă prin intermediul băncilor moldoveneşti circa 178 milioane de dolari, cel mai bun rezultat din ultimii cinci ani. O sumă mai mare de bani a fost trimisă doar în iulie 2008. În primele şapte luni, volumul transferurilor băneşti de peste hotare depăşeşte cifra de 945 milioane de dolari, această sumă fiind cea mai mare din toate timpurile.

Companiile de asigurări din Republica Moldova au suportat în prima jumătate a anului pierderi de peste 30,75 milioane lei, în timp ce în perioada similară a anului precedent acestea înregistraseră profituri de peste șapte milioane lei.
