HP a anunţat creşterea veniturilor pentru prima dată în ultimii trei ani
Credem că putem continua să câştigăm pe piaţa calculatoarelor, pentru că avem o linie de produse foarte bună, a explicat CEO-ul HP, Meg Whitman.În ciuda acestor creşteri, venitul net la nivelul companiei a urcat doar cu 1,3% în cel de-al treilea trimestru fiscal, faţă de aceeaşi perioadă a anului trecut, ajungând la 27,6 miliarde de dolari, întrucât alte divizii ale companiei au înregistrat venituri mai mici sau similare celor din trimestrul precedent. Din 2011, de când a preluat conducerea HP, Whitman a reuşit să readucă pe profit compania şi să îi stabilizeze situaţia financiară. Ea şi-a bazat planul de restructurare pe reducerea costurilor şi pe introducerea pe piaţă a unor noi produse, cum ar fi imprimantele 3D. În această perioadă, aproximativ 50.000 de angajaţi au fost disponibilizaţi.
