3,3 mln. lei pentru reducerea numărului minorilor în conflict cu legea

Peste 50 de copii aflați în conflict cu legea vor beneficia de asistență specializată, iar 20 de mediatori vor avea parte de formare specializată privind lucrul cu minorii în cadrul procedurilor penale. Acest lucru va fi posibil grație unui Memorandum semnat de Ministerul Justiției, UNICEF Moldova și Institutul de Reforme Penale, care își propune ca până la sfârșitul anului 2017, să reducă numărul minorilor în contact cu sistemul de justiție. Programul, sponsorizat de UNICEF, valorează 150 de mii de euro, echivalentul a aproximativ 3,3 milioane de lei. Autoritățile își propun ca astfel să ofere copiilor un sistem care să îi protejeze împotriva violenței, abuzului și neglijării. De asemenea, vor fi elaborate instrumentele necesare profesioniștilor care lucrează cu minorii. În cadrul proiectului va fi elaborat și testat un program național de prevenire pentru copiii dejudiciarizați, instruind procurori, specialiști în protecția copilului, psihologi, consilieri de probațiune și asistenți sociali. În prezent, circa o mie de cauze penale sunt inițiate anual împotriva minorilor, iar în jumătate dintre acestea instanța pronunță o sentință.
