Compania aeriană Qatar Airways este interesată să opereze zboruri directe spre Moldova

Lansarea în 2017 a conexiunii aeriene regulate directe dintre Chișinău și Doha a fost discutată în cadrul întrevederii directorului Autorității Aeronautice Civile din Republica Moldova, Radu Bezniuc, și omologul său din Qatar, Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey. Întrevederea a avut loc cu ocazia semnării Acordului privind serviciile aeriene între Guvernul Republicii Moldova şi Guvernul statului Qatar. Interlocutorii au remarcat că, odată cu semnarea Acordului menționat, a fost creată baza juridică pentru operarea curselor regulate dintre cele două state, oportunitate care trebuie valorificată cât mai curând. Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey a afirmat că autoritățile aeronautice din Qatar vor încuraja compania aeriană națională Qatar Airways să lanseze zborurile directe spre Chișinău deja pe parcursul anului 2017, menționând că aceasta va contribui la întărirea relaţiilor economice şi sociale dintre statele noastre. Un alt subiect important al consultărilor l-a reprezentat proiectul investițional de dezvoltare al Aeroportului Mărculești, promovat de Guvernul Republicii Moldova. În acest context, directorul AAC Radu Bezniuc a informat partea qatareză despre posibilitatea de a efectua curse cargo de pe Aeroportul din Mărculești. Planul nostru este să creăm în Republica Moldova un hub cargo regional de transport aerian, iar odată cu venirea a unor astfel de companii intercontinentale cu potențial cum este Qatar Airways, acest obiectiv va deveni realitate, a spus Radu Bezniuc. Părțile au convenit să organizeze următoarea rundă de consultări bilaterale la Chișinău, la care să fie discutate la modul concret aspectele ce țin de colaborarea în domeniul aviației. Qatar Airways, compania aeriană națională a statului Qatar, este una dintre cele mai dinamice companii aeriene, având una dintre cele mai tinere flote din lume. După cca 20 ani de funcționare, Qatar Airways are o flota formată din 190 de aeronave, care deservesc peste 150 de destinații pe șase continente.
