Din 14 noiembrie vor începe lucrările de proiectare a noului penitenciar al capitalei

Terenul pe care urmează a fi edificat acesta se află în comuna Bubuieci, iar proiectul de construcție va fi elaborat de compania olandeză de proiectare Archivolt architecten bv, în consorțiu cu Halmos Adviseurs bv și IGC Construct SRL. Contractul a fost deja semnat și prevede 12 luni de activitate pentru definitivarea conceptului noului penitenciar. Clauzele acestuia au fost discutate de reprezentanții Unității de implementare a Proiectului de construcție (UIP) și ai companiilor de proiectare menționate. În cadrul unei ședinței de lucru arhitectul-șef olandez, Martin Van Dort, a prezentat deja schițele de proiect. Selecția finală a fost făcută în cadrul concursului internațional de achiziție a lucrărilor de proiectare, pe 8 septembrie 2016, după interviurile cu trei companii străine selectate din cele şase care și-au prezentat ofertele tehnice. După cum a anunţat Ministerul Justiției, companiile participante în competiție au fost evaluate cu succes, în strictă conformitate cu cele mai bune standarde internaționale, criteriile și regulile Băncii de Dezvoltare a Consiliului Europei (CoE) și legislația națională. Construcția viitorului penitenciar va contribui la realizarea obiectivelor Guvernului în reformarea organizării și managementului DIP, cu scopul stabilirii unor noi standarde de siguranță, securitate și disciplină, fără a afecta demnitatea deținuților, în conformitate cu Regulamentul CoE.
