Guvernul a aprobat Planul național de acțiuni în domeniul eficienței energetice pentru anii 2016-2018

Costul total al proiectelor de finanțare existente sau planificate pentru lansare în perioada imediat următoare este estimat la 320 mil. euro. Banii vor fi oferiți de Banca Europeană pentru Reconstrucție și Dezvoltarea, Banca Europeană pentru Investiții, alți donatori și creditori externi. Documentul prevede un program complex de acțiuni, elaborate în conformitate cu legislația în vigoare privind eficiența energetică și directivele europene din domeniu. Republica Moldova are stabilite ca și obiective pentru domeniul eficienței energetice, pînă în 2020, ținte care depășesc, pe alocuri, angajamentele și obligațiunile unor state membre ale UE, menționează Ministerul Economiei. Cadrul național existent stabilește ținte în materie de eficiență energetică ”dure și foarte ambițioase”, care prevăd o reducere a consumului de energie primară de 20 la sută. Întru atingerea acestei ținte, după o evoluție liniară și optimistă a lucrurilor, ar fi necesară canalizarea anuală a unor resurse estimate la 250 mil. euro, precizează Ministerul Economiei. Obiectivul general al Planului îl constituie mobilizarea opiniei publice, a factorilor de decizie, participanților pieței și a mediului academic în vederea realizării țintelor de economii de energie propuse pentru perioada de timp 2016-2018. În anul 2014, Agenția pentru Eficiență Energetică, împreună cu Institutul de Studii și proiectări Energetice, București, România, a estimat că atingerea țintei actuale de eficiență energetică pentru anul 2020, ar costa economia Republicii Moldova aproximativ 3,1 mld. euro, investiți de sectorul privat, rezidențial, proiectele de eficiență energetică susținute de către stat, partenerii de dezvoltare, donatori etc.
