Guvernul a aprobat un proiect de lege ce prevede reabilitarea infrastructurii feroviare

Cabinetul de ministri a susținut ratificarea Contractului de finanțare dintre Republica Moldova și Banca Europeană de Investiții, în cadrul Proiectului de reconstrucție și reabilitare a infrastructurii feroviare și achiziție a materialului rulant. Astfel, Î.S. Calea Ferată a Moldovei va primi un credit în sumă de 50 mil. euro din partea BEI. Conform documentului, din cei 50 mil. euro urmează să fie achiziționate 11 locomotive diesel de linie principală potrivite atât pentru transportul de pasageri, cât și pentru cel de mărfuri, precum și echipamentele de întreținere aferente. De asemenea, proiectul va permite efectuarea lucrărilor de reabilitare asupra principalelor coridoare feroviare ale țării: Bender-Chișinău-Ungheni-Bălți-Ocnița și Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulești. Obiectivele proiectului constau în reabilitarea infrastructurii feroviare, în mod special a liniilor feroviare, oferirea consultanței pentru proiectare și supraveghere, precum și achiziționarea locomotivelor noi, prevăzute în Strategia de Transport și Logistică pentru anii 2013-2022. Implementarea proiectului va permite crearea unui sistem de transport feroviar eficient, care ar susține necesitățile cetățenilor în ceea ce privește mobilitatea. Totodată, se vor crea facilități pentru practicarea comerțului pe piața internă și pe piețele externe în comun cu creșterea rolului căii ferate din RM în tranzitul internațional de marfă.
