În Moldova va fi implementată clasificarea NUTS pentru date statistice

În Moldova va fi implementat nomenclatorul european al unităţilor teritoriale statistice (fr. nomenclature des unités territoriales statistiques, NUTS), care este un standard al împărţirii teritoriale a ţării pentru date statistice. Surse din cadrul Biroului Naţional de Statistică (BNS) au relatat că implementarea în Moldova a acestui regulament, elaborat de Uniunea Europeană, face parte din procesul de ajustare a statisticii naționale la acquis-ul comunitar în domeniul statisticii. La şedinţa BNS, expertul Jean-Paul Blandinières, din cadrul proiectului UE STATREG „Îmbunătățirea Statisticii regionale în Republica Moldova”, a prezentat cerințele generale ale clasificării NUTS, iar directorul general adjunct al BNS, Iurie Mocanu, a prezentat scenariile posibile pentru Moldova. Potrivit lui, în următoarele săptămâni, BNS va înainta proiectul Hotărârii de Guvern privind adoptarea clasificării NUTS în Republica Moldova pentru avizare tuturor ministerelor. Adoptarea acestei clasificări va permite definirea zonelor geografice pentru care vor fi produse statistici oficiale, a spus expertul. NUTS seamănă într-un fel cu standardul internaţional ISO 3166 şi cu standardul american FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard). Nomenclatorul NUTS realizează o împărțire a teritoriului economic al statelor membre, care cuprinde și teritoriul extraregional al acestora. Acesta este alcătuit din părțile teritoriului economic care nu pot fi considerate ca făcând parte dintr-o anumită regiune: spațiul aerian, apele teritoriale și platoul continental. Pentru ca statisticile regionale să fie comparabile, zonele geografice trebuie să aibă o dimensiune comparabilă din punctul de vedere al populației. Clasificarea NUTS este ierarhică în măsura în care ea subdivizează fiecare stat membru în trei niveluri: NUTS 1, NUTS 2 și NUTS 3. Al doilea și al treilea nivel sunt subdiviziuni ale primului și, respectiv, ale celui de-al doilea nivel. Un stat membru poate hotărî să extindă nivelurile ierarhice de detaliere, subdivizând nivelul NUTS 3.
