Mărcile comerciale moldovenești sunt protejate în 60 de state

Agenții economici din Republica Moldova au optat, în anul 2016, pentru protecție internațională a mărcilor prin Sistemul de la Madrid în 87 de state, fiind în creștere cu 60 de țări comparativ cu anul precedent. Cel mai frecvent au fost desemnate cereri în România - 40, Ucraina și Federația Rusă câte 33 cereri, Kazahstan și Belarus - câte 22 cereri, Regatul Unit - 17, China, Kârgâzstan, Polonia și SUA – câte 16 cereri. Un interes sporit s-a remarcat din partea solicitanților din Republica Moldova și pentru Armenia și Azerbaidjan, aceste țări fiind desemnate în 13 din cererile depuse, Turkmenistan - 12 cereri, Tadjikistan - 11 cereri, Republica Cehă și Turcia fiind desemnate în 10 cereri fiecare. În topul celor 5 clase de produse și servicii pentru care au fost depuse cereri de înregistrare a mărcilor și care reflectă domeniile de interes ale agenților economici din Republica Moldova pentru piețele externe, se află băuturile alcoolice (cl. 33); serviciile de publicitate, administrare comercială și gestiune a afacerilor comerciale (cl. 35); produsele alimentare (cl. 30); construcții, reparații și servicii de instalații (cl. 37) și electrocasnice, instalații sanitare (cl. 11). În anul 2016, AGEPI, în calitate de oficiu al țării de origine, a verificat și a expediat la Organizația Mondială a Proprietății Intelectuale 60 de cereri de înregistrare internațională a mărcilor, depuse prin Sistemul de la Madrid. Sistemul de la Madrid este un instrument unic și sigur în ceea ce privește înregistrarea și protecția mărcilor pe plan internațional. Acesta oferă posibilitatea de a obține protecția unei mărci în mai multe state prin simpla depunere a unei cereri de înregistrare la Biroul Internațional al OMPI prin intermediul oficiului național, utilizând o singură limbă și achitarea taxelor într-o monedă unică (franci elvețieni). În prezent, Sistemul de la Madrid este constituit din 98 de membri. Asigurarea protecției mărcilor reprezintă un pas important în activitatea oricărei companii care dorește să promoveze un produs sau serviciu, diferențiindu-l de cele ale concurenților prin intermediul elementelor distinctive.
