NUTS va intra în vigoare la 1 ianuarie 2018

În cadrul şedinţei Guvernului din 19 iulie a fost susţinut un proiect ce se referă la aprobarea Nomeclatorului unităților teritoriale de statistică al Republicii Moldova (NUTS). Necestitatea aprobării unui nomenclator al unităților teritoriale de statistică este condiționată de cererea sporită față de datele statistice în profil regional, în comparație cu țările din UE, se menionează în nota proiectului. Aprobarea Regulamentului va facilita producerea şi diseminarea datelor statistice în profil regional, ceea ce va permite o mai bună monitorizare a politicilor regionale de către autorităţi şi factorii de decizie, a precizat Directorul general al Biroului Naţional de Statistică, Vitalie Valcov. Proiectul prevede aprobarea NUTS cu următoarele nivele de subdiviziune: • Nivelul 1: o singură regiune statistică, care cuprinde integral teritoriul Republicii Moldova • Nivelul 2: două regiuni statistice – partea de Vest (partea dreaptă a Nistrului) și partea de Est (partea stângă a Nistrului) • Nivelul 3: șase regiuni statistice – Nord, Centru, Sud, municipiul Chișinău, UTA Găgăuzia și unitățile administrativ-teritoriale din stânga Nistrului. Acest Nomenclator va fi disponibil pentru toate autoritățile publice responsabile de producerea și diseminarea informației statistice în profil regional. În același timp, prezentul nomenclator nu va exclude existența și utilizarea altor subdiviziuni și clasificări teritoriale. Biroul Național de Statistică va asigura centralizarea, analiza și diseminarea informației statistice în profil teritorial. Proiectul NUTS a fost elaborat conform prevederilor Regulamentului Parlamentului și al Consiliului European din 26 mai 2003 privind instiuirea unui nomenclator al unităților teritoriale de statistică. La elaborarea Nomenclatorului NUTS s-a ținut cont de experiența Lituaniei, Estoniei și Românei, iar proiectul a fost consultat cu Biroul de Statistică al Comisiei Europene EUROSTAT. Se prevede ca NUTS să intre în vigoare începând cu 1 ianuarie 2018, iar implementarea acestuia nu va implica cheltuieli suplimentare.
