Pierderile BNM pentru anul precedent

La finele anului 2016, Banca Naționala a înregistrat pierderi de 262,15 mil. lei, fapt ce nu s-a mai întâmplat din 2008. Principalii factori care au influențat acumularea pierderilor a fost diminuarea veniturilor realizate din operațiunile în valută cu circa 2,048 mld. lei, ca urmare a încetinirii ritmului de depreciere a cursului de schimb al leului față de dolarul american de la 25,89 % pe parcursul anului 2015 până la 1,64% pe parcursul anului 2016, precum și a aprecierii cursului de schimb al leului față de euro și lira sterlină cu 2,74% și 15,88% respectiv, veniturile fiind înregistrate, preponderent, datorită vânzărilor de valută. De asemenea a avut o contribuție negativă și majorarea cheltuielilor privind dobânzile la rezervele obligatorii ale băncilor cu circa 238 mil. lei comparativ cu anul 2015, ca urmare a majorării normei rezervelor obligatorii în lei moldovenești și a mijloacelor atrase supuse rezervării în lei moldovenești. În anul 2015, profitul BNM disponibil pentru distribuire a fost de 1,96 mld. lei. Totodată, regulatorul sectorului bancar a înregistrat ultima dată pierderi în 2008, când acestea au constituit 1,431 mld. lei.
