Plafonul de garantare a depozitelor va fi majorat

De la 1 ianuarie 2020, plafonul de garantare a depozitelor bancare în Moldova se va majora de la 20 mii până la 50 mii lei sau de 2,5 ori. Modificările au fost aprobate de Cabinetul de miniştri. Potrivit ministrului Finanţelor, Octavian Armaşu, documentul a fost elaborat de Fondul de garantare a depozitelor în sistemul bancar împreună cu Banca Națională și Ministerul Finanțelor în vederea îmbunătățirii legislației în vigoare referitoare la garantarea depozitelor în sistemul bancar, precum și consolidarea stabilității în sectorul financiar. Proiectul de lege are ca scop realizarea acţiunilor prevăzute de Matricea de politici a Foii de parcurs pentru ameliorarea competitivității Moldovei. De asemenea, proiectul de lege a fost elaborat pentru îndeplinirea angajamentelor asumate de RM prin Memorandumul cu privire la politicile economice și financiare, precum şi a acţiunilor incluse în Planul național de acţiuni pentru implementarea Acordului de Asociere UE-Moldova. La elaborarea proiectului de lege s-a ținut cont de recomandările experților FMI ca urmare a evaluării sistemului financiar al republicii. Potrivit autorilor, majorarea plafonului de garantare a depozitelor bancare ale cetățenilor și extinderea categoriilor de depozite garantate din contul depozitelor persoanelor juridice va asigura un grad mai mare de rambursare a depozitelor în caz de insolvabilitate a băncii. Totodată, acest lucru va spori nivelul de încredere a societăţii în sistemul bancar şi va crește volumul depozitelor atrase. Potrivit estimărilor preliminare, modificările vor permite statului să garanteze depozitele a 3,8 mil. de deponenţi în valoare totală de 13,6 mlrd. lei (95,9% din numărul total de depozite și 23,1% din volumul total al acestora).
