PNUD și Banca de Dezvoltare a Consiliului Europei mai rămân în Moldova

Decizia privind extinderea cooperării în Republica Moldova pentru încă 5 ani a fost adoptată ieri, 6 februarie. Scopul final este consolidarea suportului în vederea atingerii Obiectivelor de Dezvoltare Durabilă (ODD) în Europa de Sud-Est, Turcia, Republica Moldova și Georgia. Acordul, semnat de vice-guvernatorul BCE, Carlo Monticelli, și directoarea Biroului Regional al PNUD pentru Europa și CSI, Cihan Sultanoğlu, vizează schimbările climatice și eficiența energetică, soluționarea provocărilor precum migrația și criza refugiaților și promovarea dezvoltării sociale și economică incluzivă în regiune. Regiunea noastră a obținut progrese remarcabile, dar este necesar să facem mult mai multe pentru ca oamenii să nu cadă din nou pradă sărăciei sau să fie abandonați. Extinderea activității noastre cu parteneri precum BCE, cu vocația sa socială unică și capacitatea de a face investiții la scară largă, va asigura îndeplinirea acestei sarcini, a spus Cihan Sultanoğlu la ceremonia de semnare. Cele două instituții tind să contribuie substanțial la abordarea provocărilor cu care ne confruntăm. Consolidarea cooperării între BCE și PNUD reprezintă un factor cheie pentru dezvoltarea socială în statele noastre membre, a declarat Carlo Monticelli, vice-guvernator BCE.
