Premierul a cerut Cancelariei de stat să elaboreze un raport detaliat privind eficiența folosirii fondurilor europene, oferite Moldovei

Dispoziţia a fost dată în contextul recentului raport al Curţii Europene de Conturi, care a constat că ajutorul financiar oferit de UE Moldovei în perioada 2007-2015 a contribuit nesemnificativ la progres, a avut efect limitat, pentru că a fost folosită ineficient. Premierul Pavel Filip a menţionat că există diferite interpretări în societate privind modul în care a fost folosită finanţarea europeană în Moldova. Potrivit lui, discuţii la această temă vor avea loc şi cu Delegaţia UE în Moldova. Filip a spus că, în acest sens, Cancelaria de stat trebuie să pregătească pentru guvern un raport detaliat cu privire la folosirea finanţării europene, eficienţa administrării banilor UE, principalele abateri, dar şi să vină cu propuneri pentru eliminarea lor. Premierul a spus că nu vrea să mai răspundă pentru alţii şi a menţionat că autorităţile au fost nevoite deja să compenseze la trezorerie o parte din bani care au fost folosite de precedentele guverne contrar destinaţiei. Potrivit lui, trebuie să fie studiată situaţia, pentru a nu repeta pe viitor aceleaşi greşeli. Pavel Filip a amintit că în Moldova au fost înăsprite pedepsele pentru folosirea iraţională, contrar destinaţiei a fondurilor europene şi că această lege trebuie să fie aplicată. Potrivit Curţii Europene de Conturi, din 2007, UE a oferit Moldovei 782 mil. euro sau aproape 37 de euro pe cap de locuitor, pe an. Este cea mai mare sumă a asistenţei financiare acordată ţărilor din Parteneriatul estic.
