R. Moldova a depășit Ucraina după puterea de cumpărare, în 2016

Potrivit cercetării „Puterea de cumpărare în Europa 2016” realizate de compania GfK , pe primele trei poziții în Europa s-au plasat Liechtenstein, Elveția și Luxemburg, în timp ce, la polul opus, se situează Belarus, Republica Moldova și Ucraina. Conform studiului GfK, un total de aproximativ 9.180 miliarde de euro este suma disponibilă consumatorilor europeni în 2016 pentru cheltuieli și economisire. Acest lucru corespunde unei puteri medii de cumpărare pe locuitor de 13.672 de euro pentru cele 42 de țări analizate, ceea ce reprezintă o creștere nominală de aproximativ 0,3%. Creșterea scăzută a puterii de cumpărare medie la nivel european se datorează în principal efectelor cursului de schimb și stagnării ratelor de creștere în unele dintre cele mai mari țări. Cu toate acestea, multe țări au rate de creștere de peste 5 %, inclusiv Islanda, Bulgaria, România, Estonia, Cehia, Bosnia-Herțegovina, Croația, Malta, Slovacia, Luxemburg și Letonia, se menționează în concluziile studiului GfK. Cea mai mare putere medie de cumpărare o găsim în Liechtenstein (cu 63.011 euro), Elveția (42.300 euro) și Luxemburg (30.248 euro), în timp ce cea mai slabă se înregistrează în Belarus, Moldova și Ucraina. Ucrainenii au doar a opta parte din puterea medie de cumpărare a locuitorilor Liechtenstein-ului, potrivit datelor GfK. R. Moldova a reușit să depășească Ucraina datorită puterii mai mari de cumpărare care s-a înregistrat în centrul țării, în raionul Soroca, precum și Cantemir.
