State non-membre a UE au semnat declaraţia de cooperare cu Moldova

Republica Moldova și statele membre ale Asociației Europene de Liber Schimb (Elveția, Liechtenstein, Islanda și Norvegia) au semnat declarația comună de cooperare. Documentul a fost semnat la Geneva de Ambasadorul Republicii Moldova în Confederația Elvețiană și Principatul Liechtenstein, Tudor Ulianovschi, și miniștrii statelor membre EFTA. Declarația constituie prima etapă a procesului de negociere, lansat la Geneva, în vederea semnării unui Acord de Liber Schimb cu Elveția, Norvegia, Islanda și Liechtenstein, ceea ce va crea premisele necesare în vederea consolidării relațiilor economice bilaterale, promovării investițiilor străine pe teritoriul țării noastre, minimalizării barierelor comerciale și a reducerii tarifelor la importul și exportul mărfurilor în relațiile comerciale cu cele 4 state non-membre a Uniunii Europene aflate în vecinătatea spațiului comunitar. Documentul prevede instituirea unui Comitet Mixt, care va constitui o platformă de discuții și negocieri asupra subiectelor privind cooperarea comercial-economică în diverse domenii de interes prioritar. Prima ședință a Comitetului Mixt cu participarea delegațiilor statelor membre EFTA se va desfășura la Chișinău în primăvara anului următor. Tudor Ulianovschi a subliniat importanța Declarației de Cooperare semnată cu statele EFTA în contextul eforturilor Republicii Moldova de integrare economică regională și de diversificare a piețelor de desfacere, reiterând că țara noastră va continua să promoveze valorile europene și cerințele sistemului mondial de comerț în procesul de extindere a cooperării cu cele patru state europene. Ambasadorul a punctat că "acordurile de liber schimb reprezintă o platformă solidă pentru o nouă deschidere a comerțului și o abordare eficientă pentru integrarea întreprinderilor mici și mijlocii în economia globală. În opinia diplomatului moldovean, state EFTA, aflate la frontiera Uniunii Europene, cu un potențial de dezvoltare economică de invidiat, reprezintă o prioritate pentru agenții economici din Republica Moldova, precum și un supliment important în racordarea angajamentelor asumate de către țara noastră la practicile sistemului mondial de reguli comerciale ale Organizației Mondiale a Comerțului.
