Vânzarea alcoolului persoanelor sub 21 de ani ar putea fi interzisă

Comercializarea alcoolului persoanelor care nu au împlinit vârsta de 21 de ani ar putea fi interzisă. În acest sens viceprim-ministrul Gheorghe Brega a dispus, cu titlu imediat, stabilirea unui grup tehnic de lucru în vederea inițierii unor modificări legislative. Propunerea a fost înaintată în cadrul unei ședințe la care au participat membrii Consiliului pentru coordonarea Programului național privind controlul alcoolului pentru anii 2012-2020. Republica Moldova este clasificată ca o țară de top în lista de consum de alcool pe cap de locuitor. Consumul excesiv de alcool constituie una din cele mai importante preocupări sociale şi de sănătate. Acest fenomen agravează riscurile în mediul familial, generează violenţe și crime, accidente rutiere, decese şi pierderi sociale enorme, a declarat vicepremierul și președintele Consiliului Gheorghe Brega. Acesta a mai subliniat faptul că costurile asociate consumului de alcool constituie circa 1% din PIB-ul Republicii Moldova. Recomandările privind modificările legislative ce urmează a fi elaborate implică și includerea berii în lista de băuturi alcoolice, modificarea legii cu privire la publicitate, a legii cu privire la fabricarea și circulația alcoolului etilic și a producției alcoolice, a legii cu privire la controlul și prevenirea consumului abuziv, cât și inițierea unor acțiuni de informare, educație și de promovare a modului sănătos de viață, în special pentru tineri. Aceste modificări, potrivit membrilor Consiliului, vor contribui la armonizarea legislației naționale cu cea a Uniunii Europene, la reducerea consumului de alcool și a impactului alcoolismului asupra stării de sănătate a populației. Republica Moldova se situează pe locul doi în clasamentul țărilor cu cele mai înalte cote de consum a alcoolului la nivel internațional.
