12 стран ЕС призвали Еврокомиссию продолжить переговоры о свободной торговле с США

Великобритания, Италия, Испания, Ирландии, Португалия и Чехия, страны Северной Европы и Балтии призвали Еврокомиссию (ЕК) приложить усилия для заключения соглашения о свободной торговле с США. Двенадцать министров стран ЕС в послании, адресованном члену Европейской комиссии по вопросам торговли Сесилии Мальмстрем, назвали Договор о трансатлантической торговле, инвестициях и партнерстве "возможностью установить торговые правила в XXI веке". Мы должны всесторонне воспользоваться этим вместе со своими американскими партнерами, - говорится в копии письма, полученной BNS. На переговорах достигнут прогресс, с учетом масштаба и больших амбиций соглашения. Все же остаются нерешенные вопросы, и мы должны сконцентрировать внимание на поиске решений, - отмечают представители правительств 12 стран. Авторы обращения подчеркивают, что поддерживают полученные ЕС полномочия для переговоров с США. Это заявление министров ЕС расценивается наблюдателями как ответ на призывы французского правительства и других критиков свободной торговли с США прекратить переговоры, длящиеся уже три года. Переговоры о Трансатлантическом партнерстве в области торговли и инвестиций нацелены на создание крупнейшего в истории человечества пространства свободной торговли, которое включило бы в себя два главных экономических центра планеты: США и ЕС. Переговоры идут трудно из-за существенной разницы в социально-экономических моделях и деловых традициях Америки и Европы. Против них в ЕС выступают влиятельные группы, которые полагают, что создание TTIP разрушит "европейскую социальную модель" развития и негативно отразится на трудовых правах граждан. Критики соглашения считают также, что оно ослабит контроль над защитой окружающей среды. В то же время сторонам удалось, обсуждая конкретно один за другим спорные пункты, снять многие разногласия. Брюссель и Вашингтон хотят завершить переговоры и подписать соглашение до конца мандата администрации Барака Обамы. В противном случае, как считают многие наблюдатели в Брюсселе, соглашение отложится на неопределенный срок.
