AICPA поборется с киберпреступлениями

Как хорошо известно всем – и официально признается той же Комиссией по ценным бумагам и биржам США – аудиторы и бухгалтеры находятся в уникальной позиции в плане предотвращения киберугроз, и вчера Американский Институт сертифицированных бухгалтеров (AICPA) объявил о начале реализации многостороннего плана по противодействую киберпреступлениям. Президент AICPA Барри Меланкон (Barry Melancon) называет киберпреступления “сложной и комплексной проблемой” и прямо заявляет, что одного-единственного универсального решения ее не существует. Поэтому Институт приступает к реализации многостороннего подхода к кибербезопасности через совместную работу специальной исполнительной комиссии по предоставлению гарантии финансовой отчетности (Assurance Services Executive Committee) и Центра качества аудита (Center for Audit Quality). По словам Барри Меланкона, ее результаты действительно позволят CPA занять лидирующие позиции в борьбе с киберугрозами. План AICPA включает в себя:
  • Своевременную разработку инструментария и образовательных программ в помощь бухгалтерам и аудиторам с минимизаций рисков
  • Совместная работа с CPA и оказание им помощи с решением проблемы киберугроз в консалтинге, предоставлении гарантии финансовой отчетности, налоговой и управленческой отчетности и других областях
  • Изучение новых путей решения проблемы в рамках бухгалтерско-аудиторской профессии путем расширение платформы ныне предоставляемых услуг. Среди прочего, AICPA сегодня разрабатывает новые экзаменационные программы для публичных бухгалтеров с прицелом на кибербезопасность
  • Отслеживание новейших изменений в федеральном законодательстве в сфере кибербезопасности, чтобы постоянно оставаться в курсе дела
Мы видим множество ролей для CPA в битве против киберпреступлений – продолжает Меланкон. – В своих компаниях CPA должны находиться на острие борьбе с кибератаками, внедряя механизмы контроля, которые помогут с защитой данных и предотвращением сервисных сбоев. CPA могут использовать знания о своей организации, чтобы рекомендовать работодателям внедрение программ управления киберрисками и наилучшие решения проблемы.
