Американцам станет проще исправлять ошибки в кредитных историях

Experian, Equifax и TransUnion - три крупнейших американских кредитных бюро - договорились с прокуратурой Нью-Йорка, что облегчат исправление ошибок в кредитных историях и изменят порядок включения в них информации о неоплаченных счетах за медицинские услуги, сообщает The Wall Street Journal. Три бюро хранят данные о более чем 200 млн американцев (при населении США в 321 млн человек), которые пользуются кредитными услугами. В последние годы многие субъекты кредитных историй жаловались, что бюро не проявляют заинтересованности в исправлении ошибок в кредитных историях, целиком полагаясь только на мнение банков, которые сообщают в бюро данные. Теперь бюро должны будут сами анализировать претензии заемщиков и участвовать в разрешении их споров с кредитными организациями. До сих пор бюро, если банк настаивал на правильности переданной им информации, обычно отказывались от внесения каких-либо исправлений в кредитные истории. При этом ежегодно в бюро поступает около 8 млн жалоб, связанных с теми или иными ошибками в кредитных историях. Данные о неоплаченных счетах за медицинские услуги, согласно достигнутому соглашению, будут включаться в кредитные истории не сразу, а лишь по прошествии 180 дней, при этом у заемщика будет право обжаловать эту информацию. Причиной неоплаты таких счетов часто являются задержки со стороны страховых компаний, а не самих потребителей, считает прокуратура. Британская Experian, помимо США, работает еще в 40 странах, в том числе является акционером (25%) крупнейшего в России Объединенного кредитного бюро, в котором хранятся данные о почти 60 млн россиян. Выручка Experian plc по итогам 2014 года составила $4,85 млрд. Equifax - старейшее из американских бюро, работает в 14 странах, имеет годовую выручку в размере $2,4 млрд. В России владеет 50% акций одноименного кредитного бюро, которое также входит в тройку крупнейших в России. TransUnion занимает третью позицию в списке крупнейших кредитных бюро США, его выручка в прошлом году составила $1,3 млрд. Как сообщалось, в этом году TransUnion планирует привлечь $600-800 млн путем первичного публичного размещения акций. Если это произойдет, то все три крупнейших американских бюро станут публичными. В России TransUnion является миноритарным акционером Национального бюро кредитных историй, также входящего в "большую тройку".
