Banca Centrala Europeana a dezvaluit noua bancnota de 50 de euro

Banca Centrala Europeana a dezvaluit marti publicului noua bancnota de 50 de euro din seria "Europa", care va fi introdusa in circulatie in data de 4 aprilie 2017. Aceasta va fi cea de-a patra bancnota din seria "Europa", dupa cea de 5 euro care a intrat in circulatie in luna mai 2013, urmata la sfarsitul lunii septembrie 2015 de noua bancnota de 10 euro, iar in luna noiembrie 2015 de noua bancnota de 20 euro. Introducerea noii bancnote de 50 de euro va spori si mai mult siguranta monedei noastre. Elementele sale de ultima generatie ne ajuta sa ne protejam moneda. Acestea se inscriu in eforturile noastre continue de a mentine stabilitatea euro, o moneda utilizata cotidian de 338 de milioane de cetateni din intreaga zona euro, a declarat Yves Mersch, membru al Comitetului executiv al BCE. Bancnota de 50 de euro este cea mai utilizata dintre toate cupiurile euro, reprezentand 45% din totalul bancnotelor aflate in circulatie. Volumul bancnotelor de 50 de euro in circulatie depaseste volumul cumulat al bancnotelor de 5 euro, 10 euro si 20 euro. De asemenea, numarul de bancnote de 50 de euro in circulatie este aproape identic cu totalul tuturor cupiurilor aflate in circulatie la sfarsitul anului 2002 - anul in care bancnotele si monedele euro au fost puse in circulatie. Noua bancnota de 50 de euro include o fereastra-portret, element de siguranta inovator utilizat pentru prima data in cazul bancnotei de 20 euro din seria "Europa". Atunci cand bancnota este indreptata spre o sursa de lumina, o fereastra transparenta din apropierea marginii superioare a hologramei reda portretul Europei, personaj din mitologia greaca, care este vizibil pe ambele fete ale bancnotei. Acelasi portret apare si in filigran. Aversul bancnotei include un "numar verde-smarald", respectiv un numar stralucitor care, la inclinarea bancnotei, isi schimba culoarea din verde-smarald in albastru-inchis si creeaza un efect luminos care se deplaseaza in sus si in jos. Aceste elemente de siguranta faciliteaza verificarea autenticitatii noii bancnote de 50 de euro prin utilizarea metodei "atinge, priveste, inclina". Bancnotele din seria "Europa" cu denominari mai mari (100 de euro si 200 de euro) vor fi introduse treptat, pe parcursul mai multor ani insa nu si bancnotele de 500 de euro, in conditiile in care, recent, BCE a decis sa opreasca tiparirea acestor bancnote. In paralel, actualele bancnote euro, emise in luna ianuarie 2002, vor fi retrase treptat din circulatie. BCE este responsabila de emiterea de monede si bancnote pentru cele 19 state membre ale zonei euro. Producerea monedelor si bancnotelor revine bancilor centrale nationale.
