Banca Centrală Europeană reduce rata de bază până la 0%

Banca Centrală Europeană a redus rata dobânzii la operațiunile principale de refinanțare până la 0%, de la 0,5%, nivel stabilit în luna septembrie a anului 2014. Decizia BCE din septembrie a condus la scăderea monedei euro până la 1,3049 dolari, de la 1,3129 dolari anterior. Potrivit unui anunț de pe site-ul instituției, aceasta va fi pusă în aplicare din data de 16 martie. Tot atunci vor intra în vigoare și noile rate la facilitatea de credit și la facilitatea de depozit. Rata dobânzii la facilitatea de creditare marginală scade cu 0,05 puncte procentular până la 0,25%, iar rata dobânzii la facilitatea de depozit va fi diminuat cu 10 puncte de bază, până la -0.40%. Achiziţiile lunare de obligaţiuni vor fi extinse până la un plafon de 80 miliarde de euro începând din luna aprilie, iar pe lista de active intră toate obligaţiunile denominate în euro emise de companii nebancare din zona euro, atât timp cât au rating investment grade. BCE lansează de asemenea o nouă serie de patru operaţiuni de refinanţare pe termen lung (TLTRO II, runda a doua a programului agresiv LTRO lansat la finele lui 2011), fiecare cu o maturitate de patru ani. Dobânzile la operaţiunile LTRO pornesc de la dobânda facilităţii de depozit, în prezent situată la 0,4%.
