Cel mai mare fond de pensii pierde 64 miliarde dolari

Cel mai mare fond de pensii al lumii a înregistrat cea mai pronunţată pierdere trimestrială din 2008 cel puţin după ce turbulenţele de pe pieţele de acţiuni din august şi septembrie au şters 64 miliarde de dolari din valoarea investiţiilor acestuia, potrivit Bloomberg. Government Pension Investment Fund din Japonia, cu investiţii de 135,1 mii de miliarde de yeni (1,1 mii de miliarde de dolari), a înregistrat o pierdere de 5,6% trimestrul trecut după ce valoarea deţinerilor sale a scăzut cu 7,9 mii de miliarde de yeni. Acesta reprezintă cel mai puternic declin procentual înregistrat din aprilie 2008, scrie Ziarul Financiar. Fondul a pierdut 8 mii de miliarde de yeni legat de deţinerile de acţiuni locale şi străine şi 241 miliarde de yeni legat de titlurile de datorie străine, în timp ce obligaţiunile japoneze i-au adus un câştig de 302 mld yeni. Aceasta a fost prima pierdere înregistrată de GPIF de când fondul şi-a dublat alocările pentru acţiuni.
