Chrysler полностью перешел во владение автоконцерна Fiat

Итальянский автомобильный гигант Fiat согласился завершить сделку по приобретению американской компании Chrysler и выкупить оставшиеся 42% активов концерна. Как ожидается, после поглощения Chrysler концерн Fiat станет седьмым по величине мировым производителем автомобилей Fiat приобрел большую часть активов Chrysler еще в 2009 году. Соглашение было достигнуто после долгих переговоров, проходивших с нынешним владельцем акций - пенсионным фондом работников американского автопрома VEBA. Chrysler и Fiat заплатят фонду 3,65 млрд долларов для покупки 41,6% акций. После подписания сделки Chrysler заплатит Fiat 700 млн долларов. Глава Fiat Серджио Марчионне планирует расширить деятельность компании в мире. Слияние двух компаний происходит на фоне крупной реструктуризации автомобильной индустрии США после мирового финансового кризиса 2009 года. Благодаря сделке компания Fiat получила выход на американский рынок, а Chrysler сможет взять на вооружение технологии по производству небольших, экономичных автомобилей. По итогам третьего квартала прошлого года Chrysler заявил о росте прибыли на 22%. В компании пояснили, что это произошло благодаря успешным продажам внедорожников Jeep Grand Cherokee и пикапов Ram 1500.
