ЕС намерен оштрафовать Google на $6 млрд

Антимонопольный регулятор Евросоюза готовится выдвинуть официальные обвинения против Google Inc. за нарушение антимонопольного законодательства. Об этом сообщила газета The Wall Street Journal со ссылкой на осведомленный источник. По словам источника, решение о выдвижении иска принято во вторник, 14 апреля, европейским комиссаром по вопросам конкуренции Маргрете Вестагер и согласовано с президентом еврокомиссии Жаном-Клодом Юнкером. Обвинение станет итогом пятилетнего расследования, которое показало, что поисковая система Google зачастую перенаправляет пользователей на собственные сервисы путешествий, покупок и карт, продвигая свои продукты и ущемляя конкурентов. Результатом такой политики для компании может стать штраф свыше $6 млрд. Еврокомиссия отмечает четыре основные проблемы в поведении Google: манипулирование результами поиска; заимствование контента с конкурирующих веб-сайтов; контракты, которые ограничивают для участников рынка возможность использования других платформ; договоры с рекламодателями, составленные так, что исключают для них возможность обращаться к конкурирующим поисково-рекламным сервисам. В России к Google недавно также были предъявлены претензии в связи с нарушением антимонопольного законодательства. 18 февраля «Яндекс» подал в ФАС заявление, требуя, чтобы операционная система Android была отделена от поиска Google и других сервисов. 13 апреля ФАС назначила рассмотрение дела на вторую половину мая. Альянс компаний FairSearch, куда входят Nokia, Oracle, Microsoft, TripAdvisor и другие, в марте выразил солидарность с действиями «Яндекса».
