Europa a devenit cea mai atractivă destinaţie pentru investiţii, devansând Statele Unite pentru prima oară după 2009, potrivit unui sondaj realizat de Bloomberg în rândul investitorilor din sectorul financiar. O proporţie de 35% dintre cei intervievaţi în cercetarea Bloomberg Markets Global Poll au spus că zona euro va fi piaţa sau una din două pieţe care vor oferi investitorilor cele mai bune oportunităţi în următoarele 12 luni. Este pentru prima oară când Europa şi-a adjudecat prima poziţie în sondajul efectuat în rândul traderilor, analiştilor, managerilor şi directorilor generali clienţi ai Bloomberg, de când agenţia a lansat acest tip de cercetare în octombrie 2009. Statele Unite, cu o cotă de 33%, a coborât pe locul al doilea, fiind pentru prima oară din noiembrie 2010 când nu se mai află pe primul loc. China, care în noiembrie 2010 se afla pe primul loc, este considerată în prezent una dintre cele mai neinteresante pieţe pentru investiţii. Europa a urcat pe primul loc în pofida blocajului negocierilor dintre Grecia şi creditorii săi pentru reluarea programului de ajutor, care ar putea obliga ţara să părăsească zona euro. Aproximativ doi din cinci investitori participanţi la cercetare estimează că starea economiei zonei euro se îmbunătăţeşte, în creştere faţă de 14% în ianuarie. Investitorii europeni sunt mai optimişti decât cei din Statele Unite şi Asia, aproape jumătate afirmând că economia zonei euro evoluează spre bine. Respondenţii consideră că Rusia, Brazilia şi China sunt pieţe care ar trebui să fie evitate în următoarele 12 luni, economia chineză fiind în cea mai proastă situaţie din ultimii doi ani şi jumătate.
