General Motors впервые c 2008г. выплатит дивиденды

General Motors (GM), один из крупнейших производителей автомобилей, объявила о возобновлении выплаты дивидендов. Впервые с июля 2008г. в конце марта 2014г. всем акционерам GM будет выплачено по 30 центов на каждую принадлежащую им акцию, отмечается в сообщении компании. "Сегодня General Motors производит высококачественные автомобили мирового класса и показывает стабильно высокие финансовые результаты. Совет директоров полагает, что наши инвесторы должны разделить достигнутые успехи", - заявил Дэн Акерсон, покидающий сегодня пост исполнительного директора и председателя совета директоров GM. Возобновление выплаты дивидендов доказывает значительное улучшение финансового положения компании. Ранее сообщалось, что III квартал 2013. стал 15-м по счету, который GM завершила с прибылью. По итогам 2013г. GM продала 9,71 млн автомобилей - на 4% больше, чем в годом ранее. Новости о том, что GM вновь начинает выплачивать дивиденды, привела к подорожанию акций компании. По итогам вчерашних торгов на Нью-Йоркской фондовой бирже стоимость ценных бумаг выросла на 1,11%, превысив отметку 40 долл. за акцию.
"Возвращение к акционерам составляет суть наших основных приоритетов и является важным сигналом нашей уверенности в планах по достижению новых высот в будущем",
- заявил финансовый директор GM Дэн Амманн, который сегодня займет пост президента корпорации. Напомним, в 2009г. GM была вынуждена пройти процедуру банкротства, после чего 60% акций компании отошли правительству США, а еще 12% - правительству Канады. В ноябре 2010г. концерн осуществил первичное публичное размещение акций (IPO) на сумму более 20 млрд долл. и вернулся на биржу. После этого власти США начали поэтапную продажу принадлежащих им акций GM и полностью вышли из капитала компании в середине декабря 2013г., выручив за них около 39 млрд долл. Прибыль от сделок оказалась меньше затрат, понесенных государством в связи с оздоровлением GM, однако господдержка компании позволила сохранить сотни тысяч рабочих мест и обеспечить налоговые поступления на десятки миллиардов долларов.
"Лидерство президента США (Барака Обамы. - Примеч. РБК) в борьбе с финансовым кризисом помогло стабилизировать автомобильную индустрию и предотвратить еще одну Великую депрессию. С продажей последних акций GM эту важную главу в истории нации можно считать закрытой",
- заявил в конце 2013г. министр финансов США Джек Лью.
