Главный исполнительный директор американской компании Apple Inc. Тим Кук планирует потратить все свое состояние на благотворительные цели. Он заявил в интервью американскому журналу Fortune, что намерен отдать на благотворительность все деньги за вычетом суммы на оплату образования племянника. По оценкам издания, общая стоимость принадлежащих Куку активов превышает $800 млн. Глава Apple намерен направить средства на борьбу с распространением СПИДа, защиту прав человека и реформирование иммиграционной системы в США, сообщает BBC. В 2010 году американские миллиардеры Уоррен Баффет и Билл Гейтс запустили филантропическую кампанию Giving Pledge, участники которой обязуются пожертвовать на благотворительность более половины личного состояния. К акции уже присоединились более 150 богатейших людей планеты.
