Industria turistică din Paris a pierdut 750 mil. euro după atentatele teroriste

Atentatele teroriste, grevele și inundațiile au ținut turiștii străini de capitala Franței în prima jumătate a acestui an și a costat industria turistică din regiunea Parisului aproximativ 750 mil. euro sub formă de venituri pierdute, au declarat oficialii francezi pentru Reuters. „A venit timpul să conștientizăm că sectorul turistic traversează o perioadă de dezastru. Nu mai este timp pentru campanii de comunicare ci pentru un plan de salvare”, a declarat Frederic Valletoux, președintele autorității turistice regionale din Paris. El a apreciat că este nevoie de investiții semnificative pentru a proteja locurile de muncă din sectorul turistic și a cerut ministrului francez de Extern, Jean-Marc Ayrault să se întâlnească rapid cu oficialii din turism. Aproximativ 500 mii de oameni din regiunea Ile-de-France au locuri de muncă care au legătură cu turismul, care este cea mai mare industrie din regiunea din jurul Parisului. Franța depinde de turism care generează aproximativ 7% din PIB al țării și peste 13% în cazul regiunii Ile-de-France, care include Parisul, cel mai vizitat oraș al lumii. Potrivit datelor oficiale, numărul înnoptărilor la hotelurile din regiunea Ile-de-France au scăzut cu 8,5% în prima jumătate a acestui an comparativ cu perioada similară a anului trecut, în timp ce numărul turiștilor străini a scăzut cu 11,5%, iar al turiștilor francezi a scăzut cu 4,8%. Franța este cea mai vizitată țară din lume cu aproape 85 de milioane de turiști străini în 2015, dintre care 16 milioane numai în Paris.
