JPMorgan выплатит властям США 13 миллиардов долларов

Финансовая корпорация JPMorgan Chase выплатит властям США 13 миллиардов долларов в обмен на прекращение расследований, связанных с ее деятельностью, сообщает Reuters в субботу, 19 октября. Соответствующее соглашение было достигнуто руководством JPMorgan Chase и Минюстом США, заявили источники в финансовых кругах, близкие к переговорам. Речь идет о самой крупной компенсации, которую власти США когда-либо получали от одной компании, указали они. По условиям соглашения, рассказали собеседники агентства, JPMorgan Chase не освобождается от возможной уголовной ответственности. Именно этот пункт, добавили они, вызвал наибольшие затруднения при переговорах. Договориться сторонам удалось лишь в ходе состоявшегося в ночь на 19 октября телефонного разговора между генпрокурором США Эриком Холдером и главой JPMorgan Chase Джейми Даймоном. 18 октября, напоминает Reuters, появились неофициальные сообщения о том, что JPMorgan Chase согласился выплатить четыре миллиарда долларов в рамках урегулирования претензий Федерального агентства жилищного финансирования (Federal Housing Finance Agency). По данным агентства, эта договоренность является частью соглашения, заключенного JPMorgan Chase с Минюстом США. Официально и финансовая корпорация, и министерство юстиции США пока сообщения о достижении договоренности не комментируют. Ранее сообщалось, что JPMorgan Chase и Минюст США пытаются выработать условия соглашения, которое позволит закрыть всю серию расследований деятельности банковской корпорации, ведущихся как на федеральном уровне, так и на уровне штата. Расследования касаются, в первую очередь, деятельности JPMorgan Chase перед кризисом ипотечного рынка США, начавшегося в 2007 году.
