Минфин США поддерживает укрепление позиций Всемирного Банка на международной арене

США поддерживают идею укрепления позиций Всемирного Банка (ВБ) на международной арене. Об этом заявил американский министр финансов Джейкоб Лью, выступая на заседании руководящего органа банка - Комитета по развитию. "США поддерживают усилия ВБ по укреплению его позиций, с тем чтобы он мог предоставлять клиентам более стратегические и конструктивные решения", - сказал Лью. По его мнению, "прогресс достигнут на ряде направлений - от принятия финансовых мер, которые позволят упрочить позиции банка в долгосрочной перспективе, до применения более качественных инструментов по выявлению проблем, мешающих странам в достижении продолжительного экономического роста". Глава Минфина США отметил, что "устойчивый и надежный Всемирный Банк отвечает общим интересам" входящих в него стран. Лью также обратил внимание на необходимость "усиления частного сектора". По его словам, "задача по достижению высоких объемов государственных и частных инвестиций потребует акцента на сильном управлении, крепкой макроэкономической политике и прозрачных регулятивных рамок". Министр также высказался за проведение реформ ВБ.
"Мы приветствуем усилия по развитию конструктивного сотрудничества между странами и по расширению работы по проведению консультаций и сотрудничеству с ними по проектам, которые он поддерживает", - отметил он.
