Moneda digitală Bitcoin a depășit pentru prima dată aurul

O unitate a monedei digitale bitcoin a întrecut pentru prima dată valoarea unei uncii de aur; la finalul zilei de joi, bitcoin a ajuns la 1.268 de dolari, în timp ce uncia de aur valora 1.233 de dolari. Valoarea monedei este atribuită cererii în creștere din China, unde autoritățile avertizează că bitcoin este folosită pentru a scoate bani din țară. Moneda digitală bitcoin a trecut de nivelul record de 1.200 de dolari pe 24 februarie, în contextul în care investitorii au speculat că prima platformă de tranzacționare bitcoin (ETF) din Statele Unite va primi aprobare din partea autorităților, potrivit Reuters. Analiștii financiari tradiționali au considerat că moneda este prea volatilă, complicată și riscantă și au pus la îndoială valoarea acesteia. Dar bitcoin, inventată în 2008, a avut o performanță mai bună decât orice altă monedă în fiecare an din 2010, cu excepția anului 2014, când a fost moneda care a înregistrat cea mai slabă performanță.
