Норвегия отказалась признать Bitcoin деньгами

Виртуальная валюта Bitcoin всё чаще становится предметом различных сообщений в Сети. Это, впрочем, неудивительно: курс Bitcoin бьёт один рекорд за другим — стоимость «биткоина» держится около отметки $1000, а максимальная цена достигала $1090. Но можно ли считать Bitcoin настоящими деньгами? Этим вопросом всё чаще задаются регуляторы различных стран. В Норвегии, например, пришли к выводу, что «биткоины» нельзя рассматривать в качестве валюты в традиционном представлении. Правительство Норвегии решило, что Bitcoin нужно рассматривать в качестве имущества, облагающегося налогом на (реализованный) прирост капитала. В частности, для бизнес-пользователей и компаний может быть введён 25-процентный налог. В Германии «биткоины» рассматриваются в качестве расчётной денежной единицы, то есть фактически приравниваются к национальной валюте. В настоящее время в Евросоюзе не существует нормативных актов, регулирующих обращение Bitcoin, а также обеспечивающих защиту потребителя от финансовых потерь в случае краха финансовой платформы или преждевременного прекращения её функционирования. Обмен виртуальной валюты не регулируется, и нет банков, на счетах которых можно было бы её хранить. Стоит отметить, что в поле зрения широкой общественности Bitcoin попадала в связи с закрытием ФБР веб-сайта Silk Road, предоставлявшим площадку для торговли оружием, наркотическими средствами, секретными документами, инструментами для взлома программного обеспечения и многими другими нелегальными «товарами». Тогда спецслужбы изъяли в общей сложности 26 тысяч «биткоинов» на сумму около $3,6 млн.
