Numărul imigranţilor ilegali în UE aproape s-a triplat într-un an

Numărul de imigranţi intraţi ilegal în Uniunea Europeană aproape s-a triplat în 2014 în comparaţie cu 2013, a anunţat miercuri agenţia europeană pentru supravegherea frontierelor Frontex, cu sediul la Varşovia, relatează AFP. "În jur de 274.000 de imigranţi ilegali au intrat în UE în 2014, faţă de puţin peste 100.000 în 2013. Este o creştere enormă de aproape 180%", a declarat pentru AFP Ewa Moncure, purtătoarea de cuvânt a agenţiei. "Există mai multe motive pentru această creştere spectaculoasă — o situaţie dramatică în Siria, Eritreea, Sudanul de Sud, Republica Democrată Congo, în Irak, coroborat cu faptul că Libia este de facto un stat în care legea nu se aplică. Asta a creat condiţii ideale pentru traficanţii de persoane care operează în Libia cu impunitate", a adăugat ea. Potrivit unui raport trimestrial al Frontex publicat pe site-ul său de internet, între octombrie 2013 şi septembrie 2014 peste 230.000 de imigranţi au pătruns ilegal în UE, dintre care 190.000 pe mare.
