Primăria Parisului „lucrează serios la proiectul“ unei monede locale, care ar putea fi lansată în toamna anului viitor, scrie Le Figaro. Un studiu de impact este în curs de realizare şi aşteptăm concluziile pentru a apreciza forma noii monede, modul cum va funcţiona, fiscalitatea unei astfel de monede. Aceasta ar putea servi de pildă la plată în cantine, la plata serviciilor orăşeneşti, explică Antoinette Guhl, responsabilă de economie socială în cadrul primăriei capitalei franceze. Crearea unei monede locale complementare ar permite generarea de noi relaţii economice între actorii locali, arată Lucas Rochette-Berlon, preşedinte al „Une monnaie pour Paris“. Aceasta s-ar putea numi „La Seine“ (Sena), denumirea urmând să fie aleasă prin vot colectiv în noiembrie anul viitor. Monedele locale complementare sunt de obicei lansate în teritorii mai mici, subliniază Jerome Blanc, economist specialist pe monede locale. Astfel, în Franţa sunt în circulaţie aproximativ 40 de astfel de monede. Mai multe monede complementare au cunoscut un succes răsunător.
