Rusia ar putea legaliza moneda virtuală bitcoin

Banca Centrală a Rusiei a anunţat că este pregătită să legalizeze moneda virtuală bitcoin, în ciuda riscurilor imense şi a reacţiilor înregistrate pe plan mondial, scrie Agerpres. Noi susţinem o abordare prudentă faţă de bitcoin şi monitorizăm situaţia, alături de Banca Reglementelor Internaţionale (BIS), a declarat Georgy Luntovsky, adjunctul preşedintelui Băncii Rusiei, la Congresul bancar internaţional de la Sankt Petersburg.
Nimeni nu poate ignora acest instrument, poate acesta este viitorul. Poate la un moment dat vom lua o decizie privind reglementarea acestei probleme, a afirmat Georgy Luntovsky.
Acesta a precizat că Banca Centrală a Rusiei studiază cu Guvernul situaţia bitcoin. Comentariile oficialului rus contrastează cu precedenta abordare a autorităţilor de la Moscova faţă de moneda virtuală. În februarie, autorităţile ruse au emis atenţionări împotriva utilizării monedei virtuale bitcoin, susţinând că aceasta ar putea fi folosită pentru operaţiuni de spălare de bani sau pentru finanţarea terorismului şi că este ilegal să fie tratată ca monedă paralelă.
Sistemele pentru plăţi anonime şi monedele virtuale, care au devenit tot mai folosite – inclusiv cea mai cunoscută, bitcoin -, sunt substitute de bani şi nu pot fi folosite de indivizi sau persoane juridice, precizase anterior Procuratura Generală din Rusia.
Atenţionarea menţiona că legislaţia rusă stipulează că rubla este singura monedă oficială şi că introducerea oricărei altor unităţi monetare sau substitute este ilegală. Comerţul cu bitcoin este extrem de speculativ, iar o astfel de unitate are un risc mare de a-şi pierde valoarea, atenţiona la 27 ianuarie şi Banca Centrală a Rusiei.
