Samsung объединит судостроительный и инжиниринговый бизнес

Крупнейшая южнокорейская корпорация Samsung Group приняла решение объединить судостроительный и инжиниринговый бизнес в одну компанию с целью получения синергии и упрощения корпоративной структуры, сообщает Financial Times . Samsung Engineering и Samsung Heavy Industries объединятся в декабре путем обмена акциями, в результате сделка будет оценена примерно в $2,5 млрд, отмечается в совместном заявлении компаний. Samsung Heavy занимается преимущественно судостроением, а также строит мосты и заводы, и является оператором ветряных электростанций. Бизнес Samsung Engineering варьируется от проектирования НПЗ и электростанций до промышленных мощностей.
Через слияние мы сможем предложить нашим клиентам комплексные решения для водных и наземных проектов, в том числе для крупнейших нефтяных корпораций, - говорится в пресс-релизе компаний.
Ожидается, что совокупная выручка компаний к 2020 году достигнет 40 трлн вон ($39 млрд) против 25 трлн вон в 2013 году. Помимо синергии, сделка поможет упростить сложную корпоративную структуру Samsung Group. Это должно облегчить передачу руководства от председателя правления Ли Кун Хи его детям. 72-летний Ли Кун Хи, сын основателя Samsung, до сих пор находится в больнице после экстренной госпитализации в мае. Скорее всего, семье придется избавиться от значительной части активов для уплаты крайне высокого налога на наследство. Размер данного налога в Южной Корее составляет 50% для наиболее состоятельных граждан, тогда как Ли Кун Хи считается самым богатым человеком в стране с состоянием порядка $10 млрд.
