Сингапур выплатит на социальные расходы $7 млрд

Власти Сингапура намерены потратить $7 млрд на здравоохранение и другие социальные льготы для пожилых людей. В тоже время правительство страны предоставит компаниям больше возможностей на фоне сложной ситуации на рынке труда. Экономика Сингапура столкнулась с маленьким предложением на рынке труда, так как объем иностранной рабочей силы значительно сократилась за последние два года. Ухудшает ситуацию также административные препятствия для притока иностранных рабочих. Проблемы на рынке труда, по словам министра финансов Тармана Шанмугаратнама, вынуждают сингапурские компании оптимизировать свою работу.
"Если мы попытаемся ускорить рост заработной платы, в отсутствие уверенного роста производительности, мы придем к высоким потребительским ценам, либо к слабым показателям рентабельности. Оба варианта отрицательно скажутся на бизнесе и, в конечном счете, на работах, - заявил Шанмугаратнама. – Компании либо перекладывают высокие затраты на заработную плату на потребителей с помощью повышения цен, особенно в сфере услуг, либо они станут менее конкурентоспособными".
