Starbucks переводит европейскую штаб-квартиру в Великобританию после скандала с налогами
"Данный шаг будет означать, что мы будем платить в Великобритании больше налогов", -подчеркнул представитель американской фирмы. Скандал со Starbucks возник в Великобритании из-за того, что она переводила средства в Нидерланды в виде роялти, уходя от налогов. Под давлением политиков и активистов в 2013 году она впервые с 2009 года заплатила 5 млн фунтов (8,4 млн долларов) британских налогов. Считается, что впредь отчисления в казну вырастут. Starbucks, как ранее отмечали аналитики, пользуется низким уровнем налогообложения в Великобритании по ряду экономических причин. Наряду с выплатами роялти большая часть технических циклов по производству кофе проходит в обход Великобритании, соответственно, и сборы за эти операции сеть кофеен не платит. С момента начала работы в Великобритании в 1998 году Starbucks заплатила считанные миллионы фунтов налогов на прибыль, а в некоторые годы и вообще не платила, несмотря на то, что объем продаж компании составил за данный период миллиарды. В 2012 году фирма вынужденно признала проблему с уплатой налогов в стране.
