Lichidarea a două dintre cele trei bănci problematice – „Banca Socială” și „Unibank” – va fi cea mai potrivită soluție în actuala situație, deoarece păstrarea lor va costa statul mai mult decît lichidarea. Totodată, s-ar putea ca autoritățile să încerce să păstreze Banca de Economii, care este o bancă de sistem și are o importanță nu numai economică, dar și socială, și să o transmită în administrarea unor investitori privați.
