Economia Republicii Moldova a înregistrat o scădere de 0,5 la sută, în anul 2015, o evoluție peste estimările analiștilor și ale autorităților, care se așteptau la un declin de pînă la 2 la sută. De această părere este ex-ministrul finanţelor, Anatol Arapu, care a declarat într-un interviu pentru Radio Europa Liberă, că această problemă a fost semnalată de Fondul Monetar Internaţional încă din 2005.
