Damien Perillat, directorul regional al companiei pentru Europa Centrală și de Est & Balcani a declarat în cadrul unui interviu pentru Agora în care a explicat detalii cu privire opțiunea de creare de conturi pentru utilizatorii din țara noastră. Potrivit lui, „dacă vindeți vin în Moldova, atunci puteți vinde și online. Noi avem nevoie de Paypal pentru a ne conecta afacerile. Voi face tot posibul ca în curând produsele să fie vândute online. Este o piață foarte mare, avem mult de lucru, trebuie să lucrăm și cu autoritățile.”
Perillat a mai declarat că în ceea ce privește penetrarea Internetului în Republica Moldova, vedem un grad foarte înalt. Pentru noi este foarte important să intrăm pe această piață, există un potențial mare. Vedem un potențial mare pentru e-commerce în această regiune, sunt foarte încântat de această decizie.
De asemenea, moldovenii care dețin conturi PayPal înregistrate în alte țări vor trebui să își creeze conturi noi, pentru că utilizatorii PayPal, „trebuie să fie înregistrate în țara de origine”.
