Zona Economică Liberă Bălți s-ar putea extinde până la Căușeni

Cel puțin asta propun deputații Vadim Pistrimciuc și Igor Corman care au înregistrat o inițiativă legislativă în acest sens. Documentul prevede crearea a două noi subzone cu suprafața totală de aproape 25 de hectare. Cele două noi subzone ale ZEL Bălți ar urma să fie create în orașul Strășeni și Căușeni. Teritoriul din Strășeni care se propune a fi oferit are o suprafață de peste 15 ha și se află în imediata apropiere de o altă Subzonă a ZEL Bălți. Subzona din Căușeni ar urma să fie amplasată pe o suparafață de 8,5 ha ce dispune de toate utilitățile. Primele estimări arată că deschiderea noilor subzone va permite crearea a cel puțin 2000 de locuri de muncă noi. Autorii mai menționează că pentru extinderea Zonei Economice Libere ar putea fi necesară și includerea în componența acesteia a terenurilor cu destinație agricolă sau care fac parte din fondul silvic. În acest context, se propune ca pierderile să fie compensate, fără a fi precizată însă suma acestora. Cerințele investitorilor Drept argument al inițiativei îl constituie cerințele companiilor internaționale care și-au manifestat disponibilitatea de a investi în Republica Moldova prin extinderea proiectelor în imediata apropiere de Chișinău sau la o distanță de 20-30 de km de acesta, dar pe sectoare care le oferă posibilitatea să-și construiască hale industriale proprii. Cerințele de bază sunt ca aceste terenuri să aibă căi de acces și elemente de insfrastructură. De asemenea, decizia companiilor mari de a investi într-o anumită regiune este condiționată și de disponibilitatea forței de muncă, dar și de lipsa concurenței în imediata apropiere. Pe parcursul ultimilor patru ani în zonele economice libere au fost atrase investiții în valoare de circa 83 de mln dolari. La 1 ianuarie 2015 în cele șapte zone erau înregiostrați 161 de rezidenți.
