Serviciul Prevenirea și Combaterea Spălării Banilor (SPCSB) și Guvernul Republicii Moldova (Guvernul) au propus spre aprobare proiectul legii cu privire la prevenirea și combaterea spălării banilor (Proiectul Legii PCSB). Proiectul noii legi este propus în contextul alinierii legislației naționale la standardele internaționale actualizate recent și anume: Directiva 2015/849 privind prevenirea utilizării sistemului financiar în scopul spălării banilor sau finanțării terorismului (Directiva) adoptată la 20 mai 2015 de către Parlamentul European și standardele Financial Action Task Force (FATF) care au fost revizuite în 2012, fiind exprimate în 40 Recomandări plus 9 recomandări speciale (Recomandări FATF).
